Ramblings on a Mad Man

While flicking through youtube (back in the halcyon days before Viacom >spit<>hack spit<>I may run and hide
When you're screamn' my name, alright?
Who hasn't done this when a "Adam Rickitt would be great in Doctor Who" thread appears on OG?

But let me tell you now
There are prices to fame, alright?
Indeed. Sparacus is more famous than AR, which is sad when you think about it. In fact, I dare say more people know him for NOT being in Doctor Who than anything else he's ever done in his life. A bit like Spara, really.

All of our time spent in flashes of light
Presumably this refers to the siezures in Spara's brain that creates the phrases "concerned" "smoothe chest" "deep soulful eyes" and "Rose is a useless chav who was never good enough for Ben".

All you people can't you see, can't you see
How your love's affecting our reality
I hate to say it, but I know for a fact that the other blokes rewriting Season 22 share the strange psychological aftershocks caused by Spara's obsession for a crap actor. OG is top heavy because of it, there have been wikipedia pages started, movies made, and lots of bizarre emails sent to Adam's official website, hell, luddite online community moopy has banned the name "Chatham" from the forum...

Every time we're down
You can make it right
A common expression from the readers who laugh their head off every time the phrase "a superior version to RTD's crude vision" and "they all sing For He's A Jolly Good Fellow while Ben smiles modestly" appears in the inevitable brief synopsis.

And that makes you larger than life
Self explanatory, really.

Looking at the crowd
And I see your body sway, c'mon
Wishn' I could thank you in a different way, c'mon
Reminds me of all the times intelligent conversion died screaming as Spara revealed he's planned a daterape of Adam using lots of absinthe, honey and Davie Bowie covers. Yeah, be VERY fucking afraid.

'Cause all of your time spent keeps us alive
I honestly think Rickitphilia is the only thing stopping Spara's wet cake of a brain from falling apart under absinthe abuse.

All you people can't you see, can't you see
How your love's affecting our reality
Every time we're down
You can make it right
And that makes you larger than life
I mention that the conversations were rather circular? Often when the words "anyway" "moving" and "on" were used.

I actually thought that the music would have been an interesting background to some Ben Chatham clip involving our antihero getting pissed while Cardiff burns, throwing books at slow moving robots and being seduced by anything with two legs that wasn't Gallifreyan.

Then it struck me.

NONE OF IT HAPPENED! There are no clips to be used, not even dialogue! NONE OF IT'S REAL!

See how much he crawls into your forebrain?

All you people can't you see, can't you see
How your love's affecting our reality
Every time we're down
You can make it right
And that makes you larger than life

If that isn't creepy, check out Adam Rickitt as Ben Chatham and then Nigel Verkoff. Only skin colour and social realism separates them. But I (and Damian) created Nigel in 2000, a full five years before I even joined OG.
